Initially, the word Hackathon comes from the word Marathon (a long or difficult activity in a short period) and ‘Hack’, here is meant as exploratory programming. Teams of programmers, developers, designers and project managers come together to design & build a nice product, a software project. The idea is to collaboratively code in an extreme manner, to start from scratch and end with a working prototype.

hackCBS is the largest and most profound student hackathon across the Delhi University and a feather in the cap for the much famous Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi. Organised by the KRONOS- the technical society of SSCBS, the hackathon boasts of having an overwhelming 1800+ registerations from 12 states and prizes worth $30,000 distributed last year. The 32-hour event comprises of workshops, key-note sessions, periodic evaluation of participants and much needed swag distribution!
